Beau-Roc Inc., a leading manufacturer of premium quality steel and stainless-steel dump bodies in North America, is looking for an ERP SYSTEM DEVELOPPER/PROGRAMMER (Integrated Management System) .

plant located in the Vars Industrial Park, in Ontario, 15 minutes from East Ottawa.

The factory employs nearly 100 workers.

The dump body industry has seen record growth over the past years, and with it Beau-Roc is seeing increasing market share and strong forecasting into 2021 and beyond.

Summary of the position The programmer will oversee the development and maintenance of different software related to the management of the factory’s sales orders, supply chain, manufacturing, and maintenance.

As part of the engineering department, the programmer will ensure the reliability and automation of the manufacturing system.

With a focus on continuous improvement, the programmer will also be required to act as computing expert, take part in, and manage the implementation and modification of software, equipment, and installations.

Main tasks and responsibilities Take part in the development, support, documentation, and continuous improvement of the in-house and commercial software used within the company.

Update the programming for the parametric sales order software supporting engineering products; Debug the new system functions & requests and manage potential system errors; Perform the necessary research for the development and evolution of the system, as needed; Put the features of the integrated management system into use; Support the Procurement Department in managing product inventories; Document programing tasks and set up a backup system; Educate the engineering department team members on good programming practices; Analyse programming quality problems and formulate action plans to correct or prevent issues; Optimize the interface work and programming methods to ensure software efficiency and reliability; Work toward solving specific IT problems while minimizing downtime; Identify and keep an inventory of computer equipment & servers, including any critical parts; Take part in continuous improvement projects and development: acquisition/implementation of new IT equipment/company service; Ideal candidate profile The candidate must have excellent knowledge of programming practices and an interest in mechanical manufacturing.

Experience is required in integrated management systems.

Naturally enterprising, the candidate’s main task will be the implementation of an integrated management system.

The ability and desire to bring projects to fruition must be part of the candidate’s motivation.

The candidate must have strong analytical skills to synthesize the requests of different players and propose & implement optimal solutions to address these situations.

Training: DEC in computer science, Bachelor’s degree in computer science, undergraduate degree in software engineering, automated manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or all relevant knowledge or experience in programming integrated management systems.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset; Relevant experience in setting up an integrated management system; Excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills; Knowledge of good practices in software development.

Skills: Good knowledge of XML, VBA, SQL programming languages; Knowledge of CODE G is an asset; Knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing software is an asset; Bilingual (fluent in written and spoken French and English).
