Manager, CPA Student Programs

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Manager, CPA Student Programs to join our Human Resources team in any of our locations across Canada and own the following responsibilities:

  • Review, evaluate. administration, reporting & communication of all aspects of the Firm’s Chartered Professional Accountant CPA Student Program to position our students for professional success
  • Deliver the BDO Talent Experience through the design & execution of a best-in-class CPA student program.
  • Provide support & advice as a CPA Student Program subject matter expert to internal stakeholders
  • Functions as CPA Program Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Acts as primary firm contact for Provincial Institutes & CPA Canada
  • Manage & coordinate all national aspects of the CPA Student Program including:
  • Developing a consistent firm-wide CPA Student Program, incorporating regulations & requirements from all Provincial Institutes and educational bodies
  • Overseeing the CPA Student internal education program (knowledge center, virtual sessions, practice examinations, program evaluations)
  • Providing program support & advice to CPA Students and firm stakeholders (e.g. pre-approved program leaders (PAPL), CPA Mentors and HR Advisors, Talent Acquisition Specialists)
  • Coordinating CPA student communications
  • Overseeing new CPA student orientation & onboarding
  • Reviewing & updating relevant CPA Student policies and procedures
  • Coordinating relevant administration, including: consent, module/exam results, mentors, external program registrations, graduation, convocation & awards
  • Manage regulatory & ad-hoc reporting
  • Prepare & monitor the CPA student budget

  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • If you have familiarity with the CPA Education Program / CPA Designation, it will be considered a strong asset
  • You have relevant business degree / designation
