KPMG’s Enterprise Audit Practice helps clients manage risk so they can focus on their core businesses.

By intimately understanding the client’s business, we convert information into insights to uncover hidden opportunities to improve client efficiency and performance.

As a Manager in KPMG’s cloud accounting group, you will be responsible for counseling, training and mentoring a team of bookkeepers/accounting technicians.

You and your team will act as business partners to each owner and management group you provide services to, and will be expected to learn each client’s financial position inside out.

This role is ideal for someone who is willing to put in the time and effort to ensure a lasting positive impact on both our clients and KPMG team.

You will be using KPMG Finance Plus , our powerful innovative cloud bookkeeping solution that manages all client documents and data in one place.

What you will do You will be overseeing and managing a team supporting engagements across a diverse group of industries and delivering on a variety of assignments including: Reconciliations of bank balances, credit card transactions, investment transactions/portfolios and other transactional balances specific to the client.

Recording of monthly transactions, and producing monthly financial statements Processing of accounts payable and payroll, including ROE’s, WSIB and T4’s.

Maintain relevant documentation as backup to support entries made in the financial statements.

Ongoing communication with clients and their representatives throughout the year.

Financial analysis provided to KPMG’s management team, client and/or client’s agent as requested on an ad-hoc basis.

Preparation of HST returns and T5018 returns and slips.

At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job.

Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What you bring to the role At least three years of professional accounting firm work experience, or equivalent industry experience with finance and AR/AP.

Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian corporate and personal tax; experience with HST and payroll preferred but not required.

Ability to work both independently, but also provide supervision and guidance in a team environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency using Microsoft Excel Experience working with a range of accounting software, including by not limited to Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Receipt Bank, Auto Entry etc.
