Project Methodology Specialist, Enterprise Delivery Framework

Purpose

The Project Methodology Specialist will focus on the development and enhancement of Enterprise Project Methodology processes, publishing on the appropriate enterprise repository support and enhance related project delivery tools/templates/processes working closely with process stakeholders within Information Technology & Solutions (IT&S) globally and others across the Bank who own/initiate these processes.

The position must build and maintain relationships with client groups across the organization, with process owners, and in particular with Champions in various user groups, supporting the Enterprise Portfolio Governance Framework. In addition, the position will focus on the development and delivery of communication regarding the project and program delivery methodologies to audiences across the organization to provide learning and understanding of the project and program methodology and how to apply on a broad range of projects within divisional project portfolio offices.

The Project Methodology Specialist will need to work with people in other locations in downtown Toronto or Scarborough and other countries such as in Latin America, etc. Occasional travel may be required, in addition to teleconference meetings/presentations.

Key Accountabilities

Lead and deploy International Bank (IB) Countries adoption to EDF
-Develop and maintain the project delivery methodology and publish/deploy through the enterprise portal, processes, templates, job aids, etc. and work with Standards Owners/SMEs to expand the completeness and breadth of deployment of the methodology across all IT Governance domains
-Develop materials and deliver presentations, communications, and training in support of the methodology roll out, working with audiences and clients globally.
-Provide client and administrative support of the enterprise repository and all related tools. Participate in enterprise methodology initiatives, including plan, document scope/requirements, consult/Participate in enhancement development, prepare for and perform testing prior to implementation, Participate in implementation including preparation/delivery of related communication to impacted client groups.
-With the collaboration of our Gate and MDS Owners, consult, devise innovative approaches to format the technology in order to best meet the needs of methodology users, and to best take advantage of available technology, within the context of Bank standards and consistency with other relevant tools.

Skills

– 5+ years of hands-on experience in delivering projects
– Experience with Financial Services firms spanning business and technology domains
– Strong understanding of the good project and portfolio management disciplines and governance processes
– Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including both traditional waterfall and agile delivery
– Must be detailed oriented and have well developed interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills – able to influence & negotiate, coach, present & facilitate.
– Must have excellent communication skills – verbal and written in English (Spanish an asset, but not required) with an emphasis on clarity, brevity, and high quality.
– Able to handle stressful/controversial situations, simultaneous demands and meet monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc deadlines
– Strong skills in the use of MS Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Project,etc..).
– Understanding of SharePoint and Office 365 is an asset.
– Bachelor’s education in Computers, Project Management, Business, or related discipline an asset.
– Successful completion or enrolment in PMIs, PMP or a Master’s Certificate in Project Management is an asset.
