Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition – GBM

The Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition supports a strategic and fast-paced recruitment portfolio for Global Banking & Markets (GBM), reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition – GBM. The portfolio primarily supports the GBM Chief Operating Officer’s dvision, which includes but it is not limited to groups such as; Global Wholesale Operations, Business Transformation, Business Insights, GBM Internal Controls and Global Analytics & Financial Engineering.



  • Responsible for the end-to end recruitment process, from initial intake, interviews, assessments, candidate management and offer negotiations.
  • Provides hiring managers with advice and guidance on talent acquisition best practices, to secure top talent and progress diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Contributes to the overall success of the Talent Acquisition team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed based on the respective business strategy and objectives. 
  • Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
  • Develop, maintain and grow a strong talent pipeline by generating new ideas to attract diverse and best in class talent.
  • Develop and build strong relationships with multiple HR stakeholders, to collaborate on various initiatives.
  • Exhibit flexibility and project management skillset while managing multiple recruitment priorities; including working on recruitment projects or covering for other portfolios when required.
  • Manages complex compensation negotiations with candidates, engaging Total Rewards and the HR Business Partner team as required.
  • Proactively monitors developments in the external labour market and industry, consulting on best practices, and trends.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.



  • 5 years of progressive recruitment experience supporting a broad, strategic and fast paced recruitment portfolio.
  • Proven ability to develop and foster strong relationships with leaders at various levels, with the ability to understand their unique recruitments needs and deliver exceptional results.
  • Proactive recruitment experience, either through direct sourcing or pipeline management for complex positions.
  • Proven track record working independently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs and provide value to hiring managers/senior leaders through innovative and proactive solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and generate creative solutions.
  • Possesses clear sense of urgency and ability to make decisions at a fast pace to drive results.
  • Familiarity with SuccessFactors – or other Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.
  • Bilingual in French or Spanish is an asset.
