Reporting to the Director of Legal this role will be responsible for providing timely and effective legal and compliance administrative support on a wide range of matters in a fast paced environment.

Position Responsibilities: Provides administrative and legal support to the Director-Legal as well as others on the team as required Establishes and organizes file systems, binders and electronic files.

Reviews and distributes for processing statements of claims and other court documents, and ensures timely handling of claims documents Scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, booking travel arrangements, managing expense reports and invoices Drafting or preparing letters, memos, reports, notices and other correspondence Ability to read and understand legal documents Organizing meetings, training session records and training schedules for compliance programs Responding to phone queries from stores, customers, parent company and external vendors Other administrative duties as required Experience/Knowledge Required:
· Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M, Meets expectation, Consistently demonstrates).

Successful completion of a post-secondary education in a Legal Assistant or equivalent diploma
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a law office or in a corporate role
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
· Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
– highly organized
· Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with people at various levels of an organization
· Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
· Proactive, strong judgment and problem solving abilities
· Advanced knowledge of MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Flexible team player with a good sense of humour
· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, highly motivated with a strong sense of accountability
