Client Services – Administrative Assistant – Legal


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted October 31, 2020.

Are you a recent graduate of the law clerk diploma program and have at least 1-2 years of experience in customer service?

Do you have a strong setup for high-speed internet and a reliable computer and able to work from home now and in the future?

Are you great at providing award-winning customer experiences, while also having strong attention to detail and strong judgment?

Would you like to take on a role that has you supporting various types of law including corporate/commercial, real estate, litigation, employment, and family law?

• $38,000 to $39,500 base salary

• work in collaboration with other members of the services team and lawyers

• full-time permanent work as a legal assistant what you will do
• provide client service and administrative support to members
• manage intake and client service of up to 60 members per day
• connect with members/clients proactively to follow up on missing signatures and documentation
• take accurate notes in legal case management software
• investigate and resolve issues by phone and email
• assist with scheduling, scanning, filing, printing, transcription
• open and close files
• prepare client correspondence, memoranda, reports, forms, and review and edit emails and other legal documents who you are
• someone who values strong client experience
• at least 1-2 years of experience in customer services (either retail, call center, or customer success)
• strong understanding of legal terminology
• experience using AS400 and PC Law are definite assets but not required
• Word and Outlook experience a must
• work well under pressure
