Medical Office Administrator – Call Centre

LMC Diabetes & Endocrinology

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted October 19, 2020.

Our 60+ Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified Medical Office Administrators, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Opticians, Optical Assistants, Chiropodists, Podiatrists and Clinical Research Professionals.

Currently, our growing team is looking for a Medical Office Administrator to join our Call Centre team on a temporary, part-time (6 month duration) basis at our Head Office (Bayview & Eglinton). 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to a multi-line phone switchboard to answer patient inquiries
  • Completing physician’s daily tasks and assignments (Outbox)
  • Management of all patient appointments appropriately and physicians’ schedules
  • Assist with external referrals to other specialists and programs (i.e. specialists, tests etc)
  • Providing required information to billing clerk to complete Medical Billing and claims rejections when required

Requirements preferred, but are not limited to:

  • Must have previous experience managing a multi-line switchboard
  • Medical Office Experience and/or Medical Office Assistant Diploma (an asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment 
  • Strong multi-tasking skills – must be able to operate and manage multi-line phone system and large amount of patient groups
