Registered Practical Nurse COVID-19 Assessment Centre (Church RCC) – **4 Positions**

Right now we are looking for Four (4) Part-time Registered Practical Nurses to work at the COVID-19 Assessment Centre located at our Church Reactivation Care Centre 
2020-10449; 2020-10450; 2020-10451

 

Reporting Relationship: Manager, COVID-19 Assessment Clinic
Hiring Salary Range: $30.172 – $30.638
Location: Humber River Hospital – Church site (subject to change)
Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 8 or 12 hours, days/evenings/nights/weekends
Union:  NOWU Service


Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for Registered Practical Nurse duties in the COVID-19 Assessment Clinic.  It is the expectation that members of the COVID-19 Assessment Clinic are available for all rotating shifts including weekends.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program.
  • Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS certification or demonstrated competency.
  • Minimum 1 year acute medical/surgical experience, preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year clinic experience, an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities.
  • Experience with patient health teaching.
  • Excellent  Health Assessment skills required
  • Demonstrate adherence to the hospital’s code of conduct.
  • Demonstrate competency in a variety of skills including (but not limited to), intramuscular injections and nasopharyngeal specimen sampling,  etc.
  • Basic computer skills and Meditech experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
