Our valued digital media client is looking for an Int. to Sr. WordPress Developer to take part in rewriting a channel website from .NET stack to a brand-new headless WordPress. The successful candidate must have experience creating WordPress plugins/themes from ground up.
Location: downtown Toronto (remote during the pandemic)
Duration: 6 months
Must-haves:
- 5-7 years of professional software development experience with proven competency in public-facing, high-visibility web applications
- Expert knowledge of WordPress (WordPress functions, hooks and filters; data sanitization and escaping techniques, etc.)
- Expertise with development languages, tools and frameworks including: PHP, JavaScript/ES6, Composer, jQuery, Webpack, npm, Gulp, CSS3, SASS, JSON, HTML/HTML5, Git Version Control
- Demonstrated experience with or strong knowledge on React.js
- Previous experience working with REST APIs
- Strong knowledge on Agile/Scrum practices
- Solid understanding of website architecture that integrates multiple data sources
