Overview of the opportunity:

Our Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services (IARCS) professionals provide a range of assurance and advisory services to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal audit functions, enterprise risk management programs, third-party relationships, regulatory compliance, governance and sustainability initiatives. We analyze and assess an organization’s business strategies and related business processes and systems to help management understand and address business objectives, requirements, risks, controls, and improvement opportunities. Our professionals bring both deep technical and industry experience, allowing clients to strengthen their key governance, risk management and compliance efforts while optimizing business performance.

We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our growing IARCS practice, with a specific focus on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The successful candidate will be responsible in leading the planning, execution, and reporting for IARCS/ERM engagements, working both as part of larger engagement teams and individually with guidance and review from more senior professionals.

What you will do

The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of client services, business development, and practice management activities including the following:
 
Service Delivery

  • Assist organizations in designing and implementing risk management frameworks from strategic to operational levels including risk strategy, appetite, governance, policies, culture and technology systems
  • Develop, lead and manage client engagement plans, deliverables and expectations as well as review the quality of the fieldwork and deliverables prepared by more junior team members.
  • Identify and assess potential opportunities to grow the practice; and participate in the development and delivery of engagement presentations and deliverables to clients.
  • Simultaneously lead and manage multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity.
  • Lead and support in practice development initiatives to support our Clients and grow the practice

 

What you bring to the role

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with a financial services organization and a strong background in Risk Management
  • Risk management, assurance or professional designation (such as CA, MBA, CFA). FRM designation would be an advantage
  • Strong current knowledge of the Canadian regulatory landscape and leading practices in Risk Management
  • Able to lead cross functional teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Flexible in working style and willing to learn new ways, methods and approaches.
  • Innovative and creative thinker.
  • High degree of personal confidence and drive.
  • Ability to clearly convey concepts and services to clients.
  • Leadership experience in proposal development and delivering presentations.
  • French speaking would be an advantage .
