Purpose of Job:

 

Working within GRM, you will contribute to the implementation of improvements in Collections through the production of policies, strategies and data driven analyses to support the enhancement of collection effectiveness and mitigation of credit losses.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  1. Support the design and implementation of collection strategies with focus on front-end risk segmentation, aiming at mitigating credit losses
  2. Design and support the implementation of collection policies to help our customers and ensure consistency across our different business units and channels
  3. Deliver on analytical projects that provide actionable insights to improve collection efforts and recoveries
  4. Recommend improvements to existing processes. Introduce changes under a test/control framework to help drive objective, evidence-based decisions that improve collection key performance metrics
  5. Provide oversight of collection efforts by developing performance reports and early warning triggers
  6. Participate as required in a variety of cross-functional teams to implement customer assistance tool, digital strategies and other high-priority projects.
  7. Ensure all credit risks associated with collections are understood and quantified with effective management reporting, across all components of collections (People, Data, Process, Technology, and Strategy)
  8. Provide effective leadership to motivate both individual and team performance and foster a commitment to customer-focused/results-oriented culture.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with using credit risk scores and their application in strategies
  • Experience with statistical & data mining software packages such as SAS or SQL
  • Experience with Angoss KnowledgeSeeker is preferable
  • Results driven individual with high level of curiosity and ability to dive into details without losing sight of the big picture
  • Strong organization skills to prioritize, manage, and implement a variety of competing initiatives, on a concurrent or staggered basis
  • A University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Computer science, as well as working experience equivalent to a minimum of 2-3 years of directly related experience is required (Credit Risk, Retail & Small Business Banking and/or Collections.
