Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for a self-motivated, career driven, ambitious person to join a team of experienced professionals who serve as subject matter experts and automation engineers for a high-profile financial client.

• Serve as a Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) within an operational group.
• Develop automation workflows to help improve the efficiency and reliability of the supported systems.
• Develop procedures, standards, and patterns for the supported systems.
• Provide after-hours support to the 7/24 Technical Analysts when required.
• Create and maintain documentation (plans, diagrams, KT articles, etc).
• Create and review implementation plans.
• Keep abreast with emerging network and network security technologies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• College/University Degree or equivalent in a computer related field or related work experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar position in a large network environment.
• Experience in network operations and implementation and a good understanding of network and firewall management.
• Solid understanding of switching and routing protocols.
• Sound knowledge of site to site VPN Self-motivated, highly organized and capable of operating effectively on independent tasks and in group-related projects.
• Good written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude and solid customer service skills are essential.

Technologies where experience is required:

• Cisco Switches (IOS and Nexxus) and Routers.
• Palo Alto NG Firewalls using Panorama.
• F5 Load balancers: Local Traffic Manager (LTM) & Global Traffic Manager (GTM).
• Cisco Firewalls (ASA 55XX) using Command Line Interface (CLI).
• Virtualized networking (switches and routers as well as F5 LBs and Palo Alto NGFW) within VMWare.
• Automation workflow tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Linux system administration and scripting languages.
• One or more programming languages such as python.
• Sound knowledge of DNS.

Additional knowledge or certifications preferred:
• Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNP or equivalent.
• F5 Certifications: F5-CA.
• Palo Alto Certification.
