Job Description

The TD Fusion Centre’s mission is to provide the Bank with an integrated and consolidated operational hub focused on improving detection and prevention of enterprise threats, predicting new threats, and enabling emergency response driven by a shared view of TD’s threat landscape, data requirements and operational priorities across all domains.

As part of TD’s Fusion Centre, TD is looking for a Security Automation Developer to join the Fusion Automation team. You will provide subject matter expertise in implementing integrated solutions and automated business processes to enable the global Fusion teams effectively and consistently manage cyber threat and fraud in accordance with TD Fusion Centre’s core objectives and priorities.

Reporting to the Fusion Automation team’s senior manager, the Security Automation Developer will be responsible for the proposal, design, implementation and continuous improvement of automation solutions for cybersecurity operations, security incident response, investigation and communications to effectively manage internal or external events that could have financial, reputational or operational risk to TD. The Security Automation Developer will be part of an agile delivery team actively participating in the initiation, planning, delivery and deployment phases of a product, and ensure sound stakeholder value alignment.

  • Engage in discussions with Fusion Centre partners to identify opportunities for automation and better tooling
  • Document solution recommendations and present to stakeholders
  • Work within an agile team on developing epics, user stories, sprint planning
  • Design and develop solutions using an agile approach
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of agile delivery practices through active participation of retrospective sessions and/or other internal review processes
  • Research new technologies and tooling to ensure sound technology directions and decisions
  • Provide consultation services to other Fusion Centre members based on area of expertise
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to other teams or team members
  • Participate in project meetings and provide accurate status updates
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and control standards
  • Manage relationships and communications with other teams/functions

Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

  • Post-Secondary education in computer science, cybersecurity or related fields
  • Success stories in delivering solutions for production use
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Extensive experience in programming, preferably Python and/or .Net
  • Expertise in API development and integration
  • 1-3 years of automation experience
  • Sound knowledge of web application technologies, including tools, framework and protocols
  • Sound knowledge of Windows Server and/or RHEL/Unix
  • Detailed understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, and networking protocols including SMTP, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and SNMP
  • Experience with ServiceNow implementation, Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
  • Knowledge or experience of Security orchestration tools (Cortex XSOAR or similar)
  • Sound knowledge of cloud technologies and services, preferably Microsoft Azure experience in Sentinel, Logic Apps and Power Automate
  • Experience in cybersecurity incident management or Operations is a plus
