Senior Manager, Reporting and Analytics


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted October 5, 2020.

What is the opportunity?

Physical Network Strategy is responsible for the strategy and execution of the Canadian Banking physical network (branches and ATMs). The Reporting & Analytics team develops the high level strategy for the physical distribution channel investment including planning, governance, business case development and post-execution performance reporting, as well as managing data requirements and analytics to support Physical Network Strategy initiatives. 

RBC is recruiting for an exciting Senior Manager – Reporting & Analytics role. In this position you will leverage your analytics skillset to support the physical distribution network strategies including evaluation of retail strategic initiatives through data analysis, reporting and insight.

What will you do?

  • Support retail strategic initiatives through data sourcing, manipulation, analysis, visualizations, reporting and value-added insight
  • Provide clear, concise and insightful analysis and presentations to stakeholders and senior management
  • Develop and manage dashboards and reporting
  • Research, develop and utilize tools to automate and enhance data management and analytics

What do you need to succeed?


  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Expertise with Alteryx and experience in reporting and presenting insights; familiarity with data manipulation programming languages such as R, SQL and SAS, as well as Tableau an asset
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to clearly formulate/articulate findings to stakeholders and senior management
  • Expert Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; expertise in financial analysis and modelling an asset


  • Broad understanding of bank channel economics, bank physical distribution, and real estate
  • Familiarity with Big Data concepts and characteristics
