We hope you will consider joiningus on this mission Anheuser-Busch’s Commercial Analytics team is responsible for building competitive differentiated solutions that improve profitability, revenue or save costs in our Sales capabilities.

As a senior data scientist you will work at the intersection of methods in the realm of statistical/econometric modeling and/or Machine/Deep Learning techniques, outstanding cloud technology & engineering, and use deep business expertise to tackle real problems.

As an added bonus, you will spend time reviewing ongoing academic research in this area and work on applying them to your work.

You will be instrumental in not only developing solutions that answer a business question, but also developing the expertise to put them in production and monitoring the impact your work is having.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for: Building data science solutions that meet a certain threshold of difficulty to solve business problems, such as assortment optimization, price and promotions, demand planning, supply and logistics, and omni-channel analytics Detailing your thought process and crafting artefacts to share with business for approval Building code that builds reproducible results and is written as per team’s design practices Reviewing methodology and code developed by peers Collaborating with others to advance the team’s ability to build quality solutions and adapt quickly Mentoring and coaching team members to continuously upskill them Designing or influencing the creation of critical metric dashboards that monitor the quality of solutions and measure value Communicating and presenting your results to the business in a clear, concise manner that drives decision making We take a broad approach to hiring.

While the following qualifications provide a benchmark of the skills and experiences that might make a candidate successful, we first and foremost hire great people who have the ambition and curiosity to Dream Big, are excited by challenges, and have an ownership mentality.

Master’s degree or PhD in the following areas preferred: Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.

3-5 years of real world experience as a data scientist applying statistical/econometric and/or machine learning methods to solve real business problems 3 years of proven ability in feature engineering, training models, evaluating the efficiency of models, and setting up A/B tests with the ability to fine tune based on business feedback Experience in exploring data, hypothesis formulation, data wrangling that enriches understanding, and creating clean data for analysis High level of expertise in utilizing Python for data science, visualization, and scripting, as well as moving code into production via version controls, PEP8 standards, writing doc strings, unit tests and creation of supporting artefacts Bias for action and ability to pivot between and adapt to analytical difficulty and solving business needs Master expertise in at least one of the following: Statistical/Econometric modeling, including time series, regression methods, Bayesian statistics, and non-parametric estimation methods Machine/Deep Learning methods, including Boosted and Bagging methods, Neural Nets, Deep Nets, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience mentoring and leading team members Experience with embracing software development standard methodologies that scale models into production Published papers that advance research or have participated in open hackathons Technology skills Above average experience in Python for data science, visualization, and scripting, and writing easily understood code along with doc strings, unit tests and supporting artefacts Experience working in large cloud databases and familiarity with distributed computing, as well as in GitHub or similar tool for code versioning Intermediate expertise with SQL for querying and manipulating data Benefits & Work perks We offer generous benefit plan options that can be tailored for your needs and wellbeing: Health benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Wellness and Tax-Advantaged Savings and Spending Accounts Life Insurance and Disability Income Protection Generous Parental Leave and FMLA policies 401(k) Retirement Savings options with a generous company matching contribution Chance to work in a fast-paced environment among a company of owners Free Beer
