Product Integrity and Compliance, Business Partner

Position Overview:

Job Purpose:
Product Integrity & Compliance specialist is responsible for ensuring Canada Gosse products meets regulatory, performance, safety and labelling requirements. The focus of this role is to communicate and deploy quality requirements throughout the product development lifecycle and to reduce the cost of quality.

Including but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for ensuring finished product/ TOPs meet Canada Goose product safety, regulatory compliance product quality, product performance and product labeling requirements.
  • Conduct product risk assessments identify potential quality, GB, performance & RSL issues and provide recommended solutions to stakeholders.
  • Participate in key meetings- proto reviews, product development meetings, Material development meetings, cross department and MDI.
  • Responsible for the management of testing for Prototypes, Mock-ups, salesman samples and TOP testing.
  • Support MD team in conducting wear test, creating wear test questionnaire, analysing wear tested sample and providing analysis back to MD & PD team.
  • Responsible to advise focus areas for testing & inspections to QA RM & QA FG based on prototype review and development & salesman sample test results.
  • Work with Warranty & Returns to understand the reason if failures & complains and feedback these concerns, with solutions, to design, MD & PD department.
  • Create comprehensive reports and analysis on all assigned categories/styles and communicate to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work with 3rd party laboratories to create and develop new test methods as required by Canada Goose.
  • Accountable for the escalation of any and all quality issues, testing failures and potential risk to the Senior Manager, compliance & product Integrity.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining key calendar milestones
  • Responsible for maintenance and accuracy of the testing & shipping data trackers.
  • Implement and communicate all aspects of Canada Goose product safety, regulatory compliance, product performance and product labeling requirements to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for staying current and maintaining a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • 5+ years of experience in Apparel Industry
  • Outwear experience preferred
  • Degree in Fashion/Textiles Manufacturing required
  • Textile Engineering and Lab Testing Knowledge
  • Experience in EU and Global Testing and Industry standards
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and presenting requirements to a business audience
  • Experience in managing medium to large scale and cross functional projects

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Understanding the manufacturing process within the apparel industry.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize, operate proactively, work as a team and handle challenges
  • Confident, articulate, goal oriented, self-motived and hard working
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Ability to present technical information to a variety of audiences in a way that is easily understood
  • Capable of multi-tasking while working in a team environment to perform tasks cross functionally

Working Conditions:

  • Office and manufacturing environment
  • Domestic/international travel is required 20-25% of the time
