Energy Solutions Sales Representative


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 1, 2020.

Energy Solutions Sales Rep
– Ontario Our client is a diversified midstream and energy infrastructure company
– their infrastructure assets are located throughout Canada.

It’s Energy Solutions business supplies natural gas and electricity, along with providing energy price risk management to customers across Canada.

– Build and manage strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and/or partners to identify, develop, and execute new opportunities
– Collect customer intelligence, insights, and work as part of an integrated team to create new business opportunities; participate in the customer bidding process
– Implementing strategies to acquire new customers and to enhance revenue growth opportunities with existing customers
– Monitor and quantify profitability and risk for current customers and contracts, and recommend appropriate actions
– Prepare and present economic analysis, proposals and agreements, and business opportunity summaries to management and customers
– Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the Company’s available services, lines of business, pricing structures, and offers additional services as appropriate to assigned existing customers
– Schedules and completes proactive customer calls and visits and captures key information in the information systems Advantages
– Base salary
– $60-70K plus commissions
– OTE $100K
– Car allowance benefits Qualifications
– Experience in the retail energy market, natural gas or electricity
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in direct/outside sales and marketing consultative selling
– Successful track record of selling and closing contracts preferably in the electricity and natural gas commercial & industrial market segment
– Possess prior experience selling consultative services with a deep understanding of doing needs analysis
– An established network of large commercial or industrial accounts in the electric utility or natural gas industry
– Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation, and analytical skills
– Strong computer skills, including establishing rapport with clients through regular contact by phone and in-person
– Must have an excellent product and customer knowledge to educate customers on pricing and application of competitive advantages to meet or exceed customer needs
– Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines; works well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
