Administrative Assistant

LMC Diabetes & Endocrinology

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted October 6, 2020.

LMC Healthcare (LMC) is Canada’s largest specialist care provider in diabetes, endocrinology & metabolism. We’re transforming diabetes care by making it more accessible, comprehensive and patient-centric than ever before.  LMC has 15 multi-disciplinary centers of excellence and 20 clinical research sites located in 3 provinces (Ontario, Alberta, and Quebec). Our 60+ Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified Medical Office Administrators, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Opticians, Optical Assistants, Chiropodists and Clinical Research Professionals.

Currently, our rapidly expanding team is in need of an Administrative Assistant who can work for us on a temporary full-time basis  for 7 (seven) months at our Head Office location, supporting and reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and project support to the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Executive Officer, as well as support as needed to other members of the senior management team. 


  • Managing the calendar for the executive team
  • Prepare a wide variety of letters, documents, correspondence and biographies
  • Planning and coordinating meetings, teleconferences, and travel (domestic and international)
  • Conduct background research on medical projects; manuscript preparation and journal submissions; reference management
  • Corporate and educational event planning, management and support
  • Recording key management meetings
  • Formatting of reports, presentations and briefs
  • Liaison for document design and printing
  • Support Assistant Medical Director with LMC Continuing Medical Education (CME) Events (e.g. drafting and sending sponsorship request letters, managing list of attendees, scheduling the mailing of promotional material, etc.)

Skills and Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 1 – 3 years of administrative or research experience
  • Superior multi-tasking skills
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Adaptable in a fast paced environment
  • Fluency in Pubmed and other scientific search platforms
  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve independently
  • Required to occasionally work in the evening and weekends
  • Great zoom/webinar organizational skills
