Job Description

The Specialist Complex Residential Claims is responsible for the investigation, evaluation and timely resolution and service of complex residential claims. Using expert knowledge to handle complex, high profile claims requiring extra care and attention to resolution. You will be required to meet clients/witnesses/vendors etc. to obtain statements and/or negotiate claims on site on behalf of TD Insurance. This role contributes to the legendary customer experience, maintaining high regard for quality and personalized service. You will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure all claims are appropriately managed and resolved, while mitigating risks and escalations and valuing speed and accuracy.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior client service orientation
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment and possess excellent organizational and time management skills
• You possess strong typing and computer skills
• 5-7 years of Insurance Claims experience, with focus being primarily on property claims
• Experience dealing with more complex and larger loss insurance claims is required
• Experience in handling liability and litigated claims is preferred
• This is a Field position where travel and flexibility is required
• Valid G Driver’s License and satisfactory MVR is required
• CIP/FCIP designation is considered an asset
