That’s where you come in.  Bringing HOPE to New Places This is a brand-new position with plenty of autonomy and responsibility. If you’re looking to move on to meaningful work that changes lives, this is the place for you.  As our new Regional Development Lead, your goal will be to connect new donors with our people work overseas. Using your existing networks, cold calling, and donor research, you’ll level-up our fundraising efforts and increase our funding pool substantially. This role is about results, not methods. Corporations, small business, churches, and major gifts have all been critical sources of funding for us in the past. Depending on your existing networks and experience any of these could help you drive growth. As the local face of our development team, you’ll be spending plenty of time with donors and converting leads. You have a positive mindset, strong sales instincts, and always stay focused on results. Most importantly, you are motivated by our mission, not the paycheque, and will use that to inspire others.  Here’s what you’ll be aiming to achieve: * Make meaningful contacts with individuals and organizations interested in helping our cause* Achieve lead conversion targets * Generate 120-150K in donations in your first year while working within existing fundraising targeted plans and processes  Working with HOPE International Development Agency The hours and time commitment will vary depending on the successful candidate; for the right person, we’re happy to accommodate either full or part-time work. In either case hours will be flexible and may vary depending on your activities with donors. In addition to a competitive base salary—commensurate with your qualifications and time commitment—you’ll receive some amazing extras: * Semi-annual bonuses based on meeting targets * In addition to your vacation time, one-week paid time off between Christmas and New Year’s, and potential for additional paid time off in the summer * Medical benefits after three months, including health and dental* Travel allowance* Pension matching up to 5% after your first yearWe’re looking to fill three positions for each of our major regions: Southern Ontario, Metro Alberta, and Lower Mainland BC. Our offices are small, but that hasn’t stopped us from making a huge difference across the globe. Qualifications Here is our list of must-haves:  * Background in Business Development, Sales, Fundraising or similar * Experience growing and maintaining business/sales/fundraising networks * Demonstrated compassion for people who are marginalized* Demonstrated self-starter* Experience generating leads through cold calling, either through corporate or individual sources * Driver’s license* Comfort/familiarity working with a Christian donor base These would be considered assets:  * Post-secondary degree * Experience in sales/business development in a start-up/high growth business or organization  How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
