Job Description

Corporate Security at CPP Investments develops and maintains a comprehensive and robust security, life safety and emergency response program to mitigate risks to our employees and assets. In support of this mandate, our group ensures the security of our global offices; tracks world events with potential to impact our employees; and responds in times of crisis, providing intelligence, relief and recovery to normal business operations.

As a key member of the Corporate Security team, the Analyst, Corporate Security plays a critical role in supporting the security posture of CPP Investments by coordinating and supporting critical aspects of CPP Investments’ global security and life safety program and practices. The Analyst, Corporate Security will be based in Toronto, Ontario and will report to the Manager, Corporate Security. 

Role-Specific Accountabilities

• Responsible for coordinating the conduct of threat and vulnerability assessments of CPP Investments’ global offices, in consultation with regional security managers, identifying relevant threats and corrective-action recommendations.
• Responsible for tracking and analyzing security incidents by region, country, location, department, type, or any other variable, to spot trends and identify vulnerabilities and areas of risk and providing recommendations on addressing issues of concern.
• Regularly engaging global office managers, reviewing processes and procedures and ensuring global compliance with security policies in accordance with corporate standards.
• Coordinate the conduct of qualitative and quantitative security risk analysis on relevant external third-party service providers.
• Assist with annual review and update of governance documents relative to global security and safety.
• Audit, track and report on existing office security and safety programs and assist with the development of security guidance and communications.
• Support the delivery of security training and awareness programs.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the Manager, Corporate Security.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in a Corporate Security environment with a specialization in physical security; experience within a large financial institution is an asset but is not required.
• Thorough knowledge of security technology (i.e. CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion) and other security-related systems.
• Experience with data analytics programs, such as Tableau, is considered an asset.
• Able to work irregular hours and overtime as needed or required to meet established deadlines.
