Salary: $96,505 – $120,627 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-Time

PURPOSE

The Manager, Redevelopment PROJECTS will have accountability for project delivery of a portfolio of renovation projects across the four hospitals at University Health Network. The MANAGER, REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS will lead a project delivery team to deliver on this portfolio of projects ranging from space reconfigurations, major renovations, and develop a small projects team to quickly deliver on minor projects. The MANAGER, Redevelopment Projects will work closely with the Planning and Integration team to provide feedback and insight on projects in early development prior to the projects being transferred to this manager for delivery. The MANAGER, Redevlopment Projects will aslo work closely with Finance and with the Senior Director, Redevelopment Projects to report on progress in program delivery and to ensure consistency in project delivery including design, procurement, construction and close-out.

The position is responsible for prioritizing and addressing UHN’s capital renewal needs across all sites, has authority to develop “best practice” policies and procedures for facilities management at UHN, and is accountable to staff and patients we serve.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or recognized equivalent required
• Master of Business Administration or other business studies preferred
• Valid license as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario preferred
• At minimum 6-8 years practical related experience required
• Related health care experience
• Experience managing and leading teams within a complex multi-site matrix environment.
• Experience in a multi-site environment; Working experience with senior levels of organizations, government, professional associations, and others;
• Affiliation with Professional Engineers Ontario ASHRAE, CHES or BOMA preferred
• Excellent leadership, influencing, motivational, innovation and change management skills
• Proven program management, strategic planning and leadership skills
• Superior business acumen and financial management skills
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate in a matrix environment
• Performance management and results oriented with the ability to take a creative and pro-active approach to solutions
• Ability to work effectively under pressure/stressful conditions to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a high change environment; Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse management and employee groups and individuals
• Client service oriented with an understanding of and ability to effectively work in a highly multicultural environment with multiple diverse personalities and ability to appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
