Department Overview

The Market Risk team is responsible for an independent oversight of enterprise wide market, counterparty credit and liquidity risk while ensuring all significant risks and results are measured and reported. Our professionals thrive in providing guidance to business leaders on risk positions, strategies and capital by assessing and reporting the Bank’s trading and non-trading market risk activity and associated capital requirements. Job Description

Are you planning to make a mark in the field of Risk Management? If so, then apply for the position of Market Risk Analyst where you will get the opportunity to provide a broad range of market risk analysis, reporting, monitoring and support to business partners. You will be a specialist in providing guidance on a range of market risk related matters. In addition, you will:

  • Support and provide oversight, commentary, and strategic recommendations in connection to team and individual initiatives
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with enterprise policies, frameworks, and TD’s risk appetite
  • Develop and operationalize standards, policies and processes to identify, report and mitigate overall risk exposures within the business
  • Build and maintain knowledge of existing and emerging risks across the business
  • Conduct reporting and analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions and make recommendations on programs, policies and practices
  • Provide specialized business services, advisory or process and program support
  • Be accountable for own work and sometimes others; act as an escalation point for others in own area
  • Motivate and build relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Encourage a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, knowledge of the business, quality, innovation and teamwork


  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or over 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of risk processes and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, judgement and decision-making skills
  • A strong team associate with excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal direction to meet tight deadlines
