Small Business (SMB) Sales Manager

The Small Business (SMB) Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Custom Security Representatives ensuring budgeted sales targets are achieved and exceeded.

As a leader within the new TELUS Custom Services Solutions division, you will foster and encourage positive and collaborative business relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers.

You will be responsible for training and supporting your team with self-generating sales techniques and strategies targeting complex residential home projects, multi-dwelling units, VIP customers and SMB projects.

How you will achieve greatness Sales Leadership Manage and direct a team of Sales Representatives responsible for selling custom security solutions and products (CCTV, fire panels, ULC, access control, video surveillance) within assigned territories Focus on creating a high energy sales culture by implementing and administering sales programs & activities to maximize opportunities Assist sales representatives with preparation of quotations and cost estimates Develop an ongoing lead generation and prospecting strategy to increase sales pipeline and track and monitor performance Foster, encourage and stimulate your team’s self-generated sales Team Performance Management Recruiting, hiring, coaching, mentoring and training Custom Security Representatives to foster internal growth and build a positive work environment Follow the representatives’ activity level on an ongoing basis, support with funnel & pipeline development and evaluate performance vs objectives to ensure sales targets are achieved Customer Engagement Support with customer presentations and foster promotion of ADT by TELUS value-adds Generate referrals with sales representatives by regularly developing and supporting partnerships Leverage strong professional network to create opportunities within the market space and build a profitable book of business What You Will Need Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Sales, Business or relevant industry experience 5 years of sales experience 2 to 5 years of supervisory/management experience Telecommunications or security Industry experience is preferred High energy, competitive, entrepreneurial mindset and a common-sense approach to business Ability to develop a collaborative work environment with your business partners and develop a cross selling strategy with the TELUS sales team to generate leads, sales revenue and contacts to create “stickiness” Ability to identify opportunities to create efficiency through evaluation of existing processes in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director Proven change management champion Ability to work flexible hours including weekends Availability to travel within the GTA Join our team ADT by TELUS provides equal access to employment opportunities for all applicants and employees in accordance with applicable federal and provincial laws, without regard to race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family status or disability or any other characteristic protected by provincial or federal law.
