Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Digital Contact Center Technology team working closely with business and other technology teams to manage a portfolio of projects and programs from end-to-end. As a Sr. IT Project Manager supporting Contact Center transformation agenda, you’ll manage the day to day activities of large cross-portfolio, or highly complex project(s), following Technology’s project performance standards. You’ll lead teams of internal & external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed in line with the team’s budget and timeline.
How You’ll Succeed
Project Management – Outline project goals, Role and Responsibilities, resource requirements, costs and schedules. Create resource plans, cost forecasts, delivery schedules and RAID logs. Ensure completion of all documentations according to CIBC’s Enterprise Delivery Framework. Communicate project status to stakeholders and Sr. Management.
Collaboration – Work with business and technology partners across the enterprise to develop Business cases and prepare all required documentation to successfully take the project through the funding approvals. Help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, projects and services. Coach and mentor your teams as you work toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
Project Coordination – Proactively identify anything that will take projects off schedule and find solutions to correct the problem. Monitor deliverables, milestones, actively manage risk sand ensure projects are delivered according to timelines and budgets.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience through 8+ years of experience in Technical Project Management either on application development, application integration or infrastructure side within the large corporation, ideally within the banking industry. You have experience managing cross-portfolio technical projects in a matrix environment with $3M budget. You have experience with Business case development, project scheduling, resource management, strong project financial management including forecasting, cost reconciliation and vendor accruals. You have proven experience leading projects end to end, managing project risks and establishing project governance. Hands on experience with scheduling software like MS Project is required. A knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) is a must.
You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field of study. It’s an asset if you have your PMP Designation.
